AI Visibility shows how often AI assistants, including ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini, name and cite your practice for the questions your patients ask. Curve launched AI Visibility in October 2026. AI Visibility is a feature in Curve Compliance, and Curve also offers it as a managed service. It ties AI answers to the visits and bookings they bring you, and turns what it finds into a weekly roadmap of what to publish.

Why Curve built it
Many patients now ask AI assistants about symptoms, treatments and providers before they reach a clinic's website. KFF's March 2026 poll found “about a third (32%) of adults are turning to AI for health information and advice”, and many of them cite “wanting to look up information before seeing a provider (41%)” as a major reason (KFF). OpenAI says “seven in 10 healthcare conversations in ChatGPT happen outside of normal clinic hours” (OpenAI).
Many of those patients still end up with a clinician. KFF found “About six in ten (58%) adults who used AI for physical health advice in the past year say they later followed up with a doctor or health care provider after consulting an AI tool” (KFF), and OpenAI says “More than 40 million turn to ChatGPT every day with healthcare questions” (OpenAI). The AI answer often comes first, and the appointment comes after.
For a healthcare marketer, that raises plain questions. When a patient asks ChatGPT for the best clinic for their condition in their city, are we in the answer? If not, who is, and why? What does the answer get wrong about us? And do those answers bring in patients who book?
Patients also ask about the details that decide a booking. OpenAI says “Nearly 2 million messages per week focus on health insurance” (OpenAI), and KFF found “about one in six (16%) say they used AI in the past year to get help deciding whether to see a doctor or seek medical care” (KFF). When an answer gets your services, locations or insurance wrong, a patient who was ready to book may call someone else.
Answering them in healthcare needs two more things: keeping patient data out of the checks, and tying AI answers to booked appointments. AI Visibility was built to do both, under a BAA Curve signs on every plan, and to turn the answers into a plan your clinicians can keep up with.
What it does
Five things matter most to the practices, groups and health systems AI Visibility was built for:
- Bookings, not only mentions. It ties AI answers to the visits and bookings they bring you.
- Built for healthcare. Only the marketing question you track is sent to AI assistants, screened for PHI first, and never anything about a patient. Curve is SOC 2 Type II and signs a BAA on every plan.
- A roadmap your clinicians can keep up with. It turns what it finds into a weekly roadmap sized to what your clinicians can publish, with medical topics flagged for clinical review.
- A managed service. Curve's team can run it for you as a managed service.
- Catches what AI gets wrong. It catches what AI gets wrong about your practice, so you can correct it on the pages AI reads.
What you see
The core measures are mention rate (how often AI answers name you), citation rate (how often they cite your site) and share of voice (your share of the mentions among the brands you compete with). Around them, AI Visibility shows the rest of the picture:
- Competitors and sources. It shows where competitors are named and you aren't, who leads each topic, and which sources AI cites.
- Whether AI can read your site. It checks whether AI search can read your site, and what to fix.
- What each page changes. It measures what each published piece changes.
- A summary and a report. Every week you get a plain-language summary of what changed, and a one-page report to share.

For agencies
Agencies that run marketing for healthcare clients can use AI Visibility for those clients, or have Curve's team run it for them. AI Visibility is available on request: book a call to get started. See AI visibility for healthcare marketing agencies.
What This Looks Like in Practice
In one AI Visibility program we've run, for a HIPAA-focused healthcare software brand, Curve's team tracked the questions buyers ask AI assistants, found where competitors were named and the brand wasn't, and published pages to close those gaps. About five weeks in:
- AI assistants named or cited the brand in 53% of their answers to its 40 core buyer questions (104 of 196), across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity and Claude.
- Across 184 real buyer questions and 912 AI answers, its site was cited in 236 answers, more than any competitor's and more than 2.5 times as many as the nearest one (89).
- 47 of the new pages were already cited by AI assistants within six days of going live.
- One new page brought in more than half of the brand's unpaid ChatGPT visits in its first week.
How to get it
AI Visibility is a feature in Curve Compliance, and Curve also offers it as a managed service. With the managed service, Curve's team sets up your questions, competitors and topics, writes the pages on your roadmap, and makes the technical fixes that help AI assistants read your site. Your clinicians review and approve anything medical before it goes live.
If your developer manages your site, Curve's team hands them the exact fixes. Each month, Curve's team walks you through your results on a call and sends a one-page report. AI Visibility is available on request: book a call to get started. The AI Visibility product page has the full tour, and the AI Visibility FAQ answers 20 common questions.
