Multi-location AI visibility means tracking how AI assistants answer patient questions in each market you serve, so you can see who they name in every market, not only where your head office sits. Curve Compliance's AI Visibility shows a group with practices in several markets who AI names for each service line in each one, and how often ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini name and cite each practice. AI Visibility is a feature in Curve Compliance, and Curve also offers it as a managed service.

Why track AI answers city by city
Many patient questions carry a place: an implant dentist near them, a dermatologist in their city, an urgent care open late. Google says “Where appropriate, generative AI responses can include product listings, product information, and information about local businesses,” and that “Google Business Profiles can help your products and services to be visible in both AI responses and other Google Search results” (Google). Its AI features page lists “Checking that your Merchant Center and Business Profile information is up-to-date” among the SEO basics that still apply (Google).
A single national check tells you little about one market. The practices AI names in one city can be different from the ones it names two hours away, and the rival that leads in one market may not exist in the next. A group with offices in six cities needs to compare the answers market by market, and to know where each office stands.
Which questions to track in every market
Questions about where to go, such as who is best for a service near a patient, are the ones to track market by market. Questions about what a procedure involves depend less on place and can often be tracked once. Group the questions into topics that match your service lines, so you can see who leads each one.
| Question (example) | Track in every market? |
|---|---|
| what happens at a dental implant consultation | Once is usually enough |
| best dental implant dentist in Tampa | Yes, in every market |
| urgent care open late on weekends in Tampa | Yes, in every market |
| Invisalign or braces for adults | Yes, where you compete |
| your brand plus reviews | Yes, in each market |
| dermatologist that takes Aetna | Yes, where networks differ |
Who leads each service line, market by market
Local rivals differ by market. A regional group may lead in one city while an independent practice leads in the next, and a national brand may show up everywhere. For a multi-location group, the useful view is a grid: each service line, in each market, with the brand AI names and the pages it trusts.
AI Visibility gives you that picture. It shows where competitors are named and you aren't, who leads each topic, and which sources AI cites. It reports mention rate (how often AI answers name you), citation rate (how often they cite your site) and share of voice (your share of the mentions among the brands you compete with), so a group can see where it is strong, where a rival has the lead, and where nobody owns the answer yet.
Local pages for topics that book well
AI Visibility ties AI answers to the visits and bookings they bring you, so you can see which answers and pages bring patients who book, and put new local pages where they will book. For the tracking side, see DSO conversion tracking rolled up across offices.
Resist building a page for every city and service pair. Google says that creating separate content for every possible variation of how people search, done primarily to manipulate rankings or AI responses, “violates Google's scaled content abuse spam policy” (Google). A local page earns its place when patients in that city book that service. That is why a good plan starts from topics that book, not from a list of city names.
Getting the facts right in every market
Multi-location groups have more facts for an assistant to get wrong: which offices offer which services, where each office is, which insurance each one takes, and which hours each keeps. A wrong answer can send a patient to an office that doesn't offer the service, or to a rival down the road. Start with the facts that differ by office.
AI Visibility catches what AI gets wrong about your practice, so you can correct it on the pages AI reads. See what to do when AI gets your practice wrong.
Groups, franchises and agencies
AI Visibility is available to practices and clinics, health systems and multi-location groups, and agencies. Agencies can use AI Visibility for their clients, or have Curve's team run it for them. See AI visibility for healthcare marketing agencies. For specialty detail, see dental AI visibility and health system AI visibility.
What to ask any multi-location tool
Other tools describe multi-location support too. AthenaHQ, for example, says it “supports multi-location tracking so you can monitor AI visibility for each facility, provider group, or specialty across your entire health system” (AthenaHQ). See AthenaHQ alternatives for healthcare. Whatever you shortlist, ask the same questions:
- Every market. Can you see who AI names in each of your markets, not only nationally?
- Service lines. Can you see who leads each service line, and which sources AI cites for it?
- Bookings. Are AI visits tied to the bookings each page brings in?
- Accuracy. Does it catch wrong facts about each office, such as services, hours or insurance?
- Patient data. What exactly is sent to the assistants, and is it screened for PHI?
- Who does the work. Is there a team that can run it for you, and writes pages your clinicians approve?
What This Looks Like in Practice
In one AI Visibility program we've run, for a HIPAA-focused healthcare software brand, Curve's team tracked the questions buyers ask AI assistants, found where competitors were named and the brand wasn't, and published pages to close those gaps. About five weeks in:
- AI assistants named or cited the brand in 53% of their answers to its 40 core buyer questions (104 of 196), across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity and Claude.
- Across 184 real buyer questions and 912 AI answers, its site was cited in 236 answers, more than any competitor's and more than 2.5 times as many as the nearest one (89).
- 47 of the new pages were already cited by AI assistants within six days of going live.
- One new page brought in more than half of the brand's unpaid ChatGPT visits in its first week.
How Curve Compliance helps
AI Visibility is a feature in Curve Compliance, and Curve also offers it as a managed service. AI Visibility shows you who AI names for each service line in each of your markets, where competitors are named and you aren't, and which sources AI cites. It ties AI answers to the visits and bookings they bring you. It turns what it finds into a weekly roadmap sized to what your clinicians can publish, with medical topics flagged for clinical review. It catches what AI gets wrong about your practice, so you can correct it on the pages AI reads.
Curve already gives groups with several offices reporting broken down by market and region (Curve for DSOs and dental groups). AI Visibility is built for healthcare: only the marketing question you track is sent to AI assistants, screened for PHI first, and never anything about a patient. Curve is SOC 2 Type II and signs a BAA on every plan.
With the managed service, Curve's team sets up your questions, competitors and topics, writes the pages on your roadmap, and makes the technical fixes that help AI assistants read your site. Your clinicians review and approve anything medical before it goes live. Each month, Curve's team walks you through your results on a call and sends a one-page report. If your developer manages your site, Curve's team hands them the exact fixes. AI Visibility is available on request: book a call to get started.
