What the BAA covers and excludes

Excludes or limits, in Keap's words:

  • "CustomerHub is not HIPAA compatible."
  • "the Keap BAA does not cover your use of third party products or services."

What this means for ad tracking

Keap holds leads and patients, and teams often sync its tags, pipeline stages or purchases back to ad platforms as conversions or audiences. Each sync sends data from Keap to Meta, Google or TikTok.

A BAA with Keap covers the data inside Keap. It does not extend to the ad platform receiving a conversion or an audience from it. What reaches the ad platform should be a neutral event with hashed identifiers, not a tag or list name that names a treatment.

Curve Compliance closes that gap: it sends the conversion itself server-side, under a BAA it signs on every plan, so your campaigns keep a conversion signal without a pixel carrying patient data. Book a call to see it on your own funnel.

How Curve helps

  • Keep Keap for what it does well. Curve Compliance carries the conversion signal to your ad platforms separately, under its own BAA.
  • Outcomes from your CRM arrive through incoming webhooks or offline conversion uploads and are credited to the original ad click.
  • Server-side conversions to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Microsoft Advertising and LinkedIn, sent from Curve's servers with neutral event names and SHA-256 hashed identifiers.
  • PHI-like pattern detection flags condition names, form answers and emails in URLs before data reaches an ad platform, so they can be stopped at the source.
  • A HIPAA-compliant setup done by Curve's team, in about a week, with a BAA signed on every plan.

Frequently asked questions

Does Keap sign a BAA?

Yes. Keap offers its standard BAA addendum once you turn on HIPAA Security Controls in your Keap app. In Keap's words: “Keap offers customers the opportunity to execute our standard Business Associate Agreement Addendum (or “BAA”) that satisfies the applicable subcontracting requirements under HIPAA and the HITECH Act.” We checked Keap's own pages on October 1, 2026.

How do I get a BAA from Keap?

Turn on HIPAA Security Controls in your Keap app, under Settings > Privacy & Compliance, then review and sign Keap's BAA. Keap says the BAA does not cover third-party products or services, and that CustomerHub is not HIPAA compatible.

Does a BAA with Keap cover my ad pixels?

No. A BAA covers the data Keap handles for you. A pixel sends data from the visitor's browser straight to Meta, Google or TikTok, and none of those platforms is a party to your BAA with Keap.
