What the BAA covers and excludes

Excludes or limits, in Otter.ai's words:

  • "Otter supports public and link-based transcript sharing, which is not appropriate when PHI is involved. Customers must explicitly disable these features to avoid unauthorized disclosures."

What this means for ad tracking

Otter records and transcribes meetings, including sales calls, consults and campaign reviews, so a transcript can put a person's name next to their condition.

A BAA with Otter covers those transcripts on the Enterprise plan. It does not cover an ad platform, so a booked call or consult you count as a conversion should reach Meta or Google without any transcript content.
