What this means for ad tracking

Proton Mail is end-to-end encrypted email. Proton says “Proton Mail uses zero-access encryption and end-to-end encryption, which means that even we can’t access any emails stored on our servers” (Proton).

A BAA binds only the vendor that signs it. The pixels on your website send data to the ad platforms, and this directory lists Meta and Google Ads as not signing one, so conversions sent to them need to leave PHI behind.
